Subterra Renewables is backed by Forum Equity Partners, an alternative asset manager and private capital investor, with a long history developing and managing complex energy infrastructure, and real estate assets. Subterra's relationship with Forum provides access to creative capital that allows us to be nimble and meet the needs of our diverse client base. Over the past two decades, Forum has been active in a number of large-scale projects including a multi-phase student housing project at York University and the Toronto City Airport Pedestrian Tunnel.
Meet The Team
Lucie Andlauer is a Canadian Entrepreneur. She has over 28 years of expertise in diverse businesses including Building, Development, Transportation, 3-PL, Recruitment and Mentoring. Mrs. Andlauer has a passion for customer driven solutions. Her goal is to work in partnership with clients to improve our environment while being bottom line driven.
Matthew Tokarik is a Professional Engineer with expertise in building energy performance. He previously worked at Morrison Hershfield where he developed strategies for building energy and carbon emission reduction for new and existing buildings. Matthew holds a master’s degree in Building Science from Ryerson University, where he is now a Sessional Instructor, and sits on the CaGBC’s Zero Carbon Building Standard Steering Committee.
Jessica Rowe Bald
Vice President, Sales
Jessica Bald is an experienced sales professional with +8 years in the energy services, HVAC and development industry. Her background is in high performance buildings and providing energy services to multi-residential and mixed-use developers. She holds a BA from Western University in Business Management, minoring in Economics, and a post-graduate certification in Professional Sales Management from the University of Toronto.
Henry Tong is a finance professional with experience across the real estate, utility, and energy industries. His previous work is extensive, ranging from developing mid-market roll up strategies to building complex quantitative trading models. Henry holds a BA from the University of Toronto.
Manager, Assets & Development
Devin O’Brien is an experienced energy and infrastructure finance professional with over 8 years of experience in engineering, financial advisory, private market investing and asset management. His background is in developing, transacting upon, and managing major projects across Canada. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Carleton University and an MBA from the University of Oxford with a focus in finance.
Briana Gagliardi is a Western University graduate with an Honors Specialization in Health Sciences. Briana's previous roles include sales, marketing and planning. Her background in healthcare and strong passion for health of the population enables her to contribute to building a more sustainable environment.
Gillian draws from almost 5 years of working for the Business Development Bank of Canada. She was highly passionate about corporate social and environmental responsibility and as such became the Toronto B-Corp Representative. She is well equipped to engage with the sustainability ecosystem. Gillian holds great experience with cultivating trusted business relationships, driven account management, commercial building analysis, and developing client success. She earned her BA degree with honours in Comm. and a minor in Forensic Psychology.
Business Development Lead
Anthony Drouin graduated from Connecticut College where he received his BA in Political Science with a minor in Economics, and competed on the varsity basketball and lacrosse teams. Before joining Subterra, Anthony served as a summer research analyst at Cushman and Wakefield. He also co-founded and served as the president of the Connecticut College Real Estate Club. Anthony's interest in the intersection of partnership building and sustainable development plays an important role in his business development work.
