Subterra Renewables is backed by Forum Equity Partners, an alternative asset manager and private capital investor, with a long history developing and managing complex energy infrastructure, and real estate assets. Subterra’s relationship with Forum provides access to creative capital that allows us to be nimble and meet the needs of our diverse client base. Over the past two decades, Forum has been active in a number of large-scale projects including a multi-phase student housing project at York University and the Toronto City Airport Pedestrian Tunnel.

Lucie Andlauer is a Canadian Entrepreneur. She has over 28 years of expertise in diverse businesses including Building, Development, Transportation, 3-PL, Recruitment and Mentoring. Mrs. Andlauer has a passion for customer driven solutions. Her goal is to work in partnership with clients to improve our environment while being bottom line driven.
Matthew Tokarik is a Professional Engineer with expertise in building energy performance. He previously worked at Morrison Hershfield where he developed strategies for building energy and carbon emission reduction for new and existing buildings. Matthew holds a master’s degree in Building Science from Ryerson University, where he is now a Sessional Instructor, and sits on the CaGBC’s Zero Carbon Building Standard Steering Committee.
Jessica Bald is an experienced sales professional in the energy services, HVAC and development industry. Her background is in high performance buildings and providing energy services to multi-residential and mixed-use developers. She holds a BA from Western University in Business Management, minoring in Economics, and a post-graduate certification in Professional Sales Management from the University of Toronto.
Kyle Boynton is an experienced Professional Engineer in the energy and mining industries. He previously worked at Hatch Ltd as a consultant in the Energy Practice where he managed and provided technical expertise to projects on a global scale. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Queen's University and a MBA from the Ivey Business School with a focus on finance.
David Woo graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Master of Finance (MFIN) and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a major in Finance and minor in Economics. David’s previous roles include positions in Corporate Development, Capital Markets and Equity Research. He is a CFA Charterholder.
Selina Rui graduated from Brock University where she received her Honors Bachelor of Accounting. Selina is an accounting professional with over 7 years of experience in bookkeeping, tax, audit, budgeting and corporate accounting. Her previous role is controller at Queen’s University Hospitality Services.
Jeff Penstone graduated from Queen’s University in Mechanical Engineering. With five years of experience in progressively demanding roles at Hatch and HH Angus, Jeff thrives on detailed engineering design work in the high stakes, fast-paced consulting environment. HVAC and mining industry knowledge give Jeff a technical edge that helps clients achieve innovative, sustainable outcomes.
Evan Olsthoorn is an experienced finance professional with 10+ years in commercial and corporate banking, managing high profile relationships and teams with a focus on real estate transactions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ivey Business School with a finance specialization and is a CFA Charterholder.
Tamatha Burske attended Trent University and has been a member of The Toronto Real Estate Board since 2001. She is a result oriented professional with over 20+ years of Sales and Real Estate operations, offering proficient comprehension of project management, market research, and contract negotiations. She has leveraged her wealth of real estate knowledge while working with some of the most prominent industry influencers in the pre-construction condo developments.
Anthony Drouin graduated from Connecticut College where he received his BA in Political Science with a minor in Economics, and competed on the varsity basketball and lacrosse teams. Before joining Subterra, Anthony served as a summer research analyst at Cushman and Wakefield. He also co-founded and served as the president of the Connecticut College Real Estate Club!
Briana Gagliardi is a Western University graduate with an Honors Specialization in Health Sciences. Briana's previous roles include both sales and marketing. Her background in healthcare and strong passion for health of the population enables her to contribute to building a more sustainable environment. In her spare time, she focuses her time on her creative side through interior design!
Victoria Hunt graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and a concentration in entrepreneurship. During her time at Laurier, she was apart of various clubs and associations that focused heavily of philanthropic and sustainable practices within the scope of a business lens. Prior to joining Subterra, Victoria interned at a Fin-Tech Startup called Mosea. Broadening her expertise to combine that of finance and technology as well as social and environmental impact.
Konrad Bald is a robotics engineer from McMaster University with 8+ years of experience as a software developer and data specialist. He leads the software implementations and is able to provide solutions with his coding and data analytics background. Prior to joining Subterra, Konrad worked at KPMG, Deloitte and TD Bank in IT and data analytics.
